Ridiculous (25.6%) increase in premium

Last year I was looking for insurance on my sister's vehicle and got quotes from several companies. 1st for Women came in with a competitive quote and we selected their quote and the whole process went smoothly.

One year later and they are now pushing for a ridiculous 25.6% increase - I could maybe understand this if we claimed, but we have been claim free and nothing on our side changed to warrant such a large increase. We called the retention team and they were not able to offer us a discount.

Looking at the finer detail we then realized above and beyond the premium increase they were also pushing an additional increase on the excess of 7.6%.

The whole quoting process is so tiresome and now I have to go through it again. Not only that by switching companies we also forfeit no claims cashback that we might have earned in the future. From our perspective they try and secure the new-business on low premium and then nail you later on knowing not all people will read their increase letters. Just felt highly ********* and left a bad taste in my mouth.
