R7k EXCESS!!!!!

So driving from Herm**** to Somerset West, the traffic piled up on the n2, on the slope a Hardbody Nissan lost control of his brakes, the bakkie built up momentum and slammed straight into the rear of my poor 1.4 Ford Fiesta. Not being at fault and desperately needing my car to be fixed asap, I thought I could claim from my insurance being F4W. Only to find out that my excess is going to accumulate to R7250!!! To top it off they cannot even guarantee that the full amount will be reimbursed from the 3rd party. Highly ridiculous for an accident that was completely not my fault and it's clear to see. Back and forth on the phone with them for nearly 2hours to make the claim, it's so not worth it! I'd rather wait a month to claim from the third party. I've lost all faith in this insurance company.
