Premium higher than replacement value
I am so very disappointed with 1st for woman! I insured my. Laptop for the purchase amount of R17000. The motherboard is damaged and I now have to replace the laptop. These laptops are now selling for a lesser price. Which is what they want to replace me with. Surely this does not make sense? Specs of laptops change and get better. Ive been paying a set monthly premium related to the R17000. Now you want to give me a payout of R7000 of what the cost of this laptop is now. So I've been paying a premium in relation to R17000 but getting a payout of R7000. That ****************. Any cost of laptops decline as newer models come out. Then my premium must have also declined in relation!! I insured my laptop for R17000 so I'm expecting to purchase a laptop and that be ANY LAPTOP OF MY CHOICE for R17000!! That is why I have insurance. I do not want a Lenovo it is not of good quality. Unfortunately I had no choice in selecting the laptop as it was bought by the company I worked for in 2017. If this is going to be the case of having to downgrade on my laptop I will cancel my insurance with 1st for woman. We pay high premiums and when it comes to claims we loose all the way. I had the same issue with my TV! It's 10 years old. I got it as a gift. It's broken. And you want to replace the same model!!! How does that even make sense!!?? Surely we as PAYING INSURANCE CUSTOMERS have the right to choose something different!!!?? I have no problem paying an increased premium if i choose to replace it with a more recent model but the choice is mine to select what I want to replace it with. So I'm sitting with a broken TV and a laptop that will be replaced with lower value than the PREMIUM I'VE BEEN PAYING on R17000 insured value. That's just wrong on all levels. En net bleddie ***** en oneerlik! Why even have insurance!!
