Poor service and rejection of a valid claim

I had an accident that was insured by First for Woman insurance. They have now rejected my claim based on witness statements only that i was under the influence of alcohol. I was not under the influence of alcohol. I submitted details of someone that could verify that i was not and they did not even bother contacting that individual. They merely took the statements that was issued by the other person involved in the accident that they had submitted to their insurance company. This company has a very poor history in terms of their claims processing. 40% of their claims that go to the ombudsman gets overturned. It is unbelievable that they will so easily reject a claim and now i understand how come their statistics are so poor in terms of the ratings for insurance companies in South Africa. First for Woman use intimidating tactics to get their way in avoiding claims being processed. They will not be allowed to get away with this. I hope others do not fall prey to their ************ tactics and ********* business practices. I will certainly never use them again and i will ensure as many people as possible know this about First for Woman.
