Policy update more than doubles my premium

Last year March I purchased a bran new vehicle (Ford Ecosport) and looked around for insurance, first for women was not the cheapest but it was a fair premium for the cover offered, I took the cover and have (touch wood) not had any reason to claim over the last year. Today I receive a very discrete email attaching my policy update, on the vary last page it says my premium will be R914.38 from 1 March 2016- I have been paying R412.79 every month for the last year, I have had no claims whatsoever during that year, my car hasn't even qualified for its first service - I put 6 000km on the car in the last year (I walk to work) and 2000 of that was a trip to the Orange River, something I never ever do. My parking/living circumstances haven't changed, it still parks in a 24hr security controlled and cctv monitored apartment building underground. How on earth can a premium increase of 125% be justified in these circumstances its complete and utter abuse, and the way it was done, I am sure alot of people would have missed it. Needless to say I have cancelled the insurance as the call centre offered to reduce the increase to R845, still more than 100% increase. Pathetic company.
