Pillar to post for nothing

I was involved in a minor accident where I hit the bumper on the front and a dent at the back bumper. I then made a claim. While the panel beater was updating me on the claim I realised that they were only m3ntioning the front of the car. I then enquired as to why is that and was told that they only received authorization for the front. Upon this realization I tried to communicate with the insurance that I might have not mentioned the back part as it was really not that big but it was indeed related to the front incident. Harold called me to tell me that they will not be fixing it based on the assessror telling them that the car was fixed at the back before and there was bodyfillers and things I know nothing about.My question is: if a car was fixed before and later damaged during an accident, does one not qualify to claim on that car part because that is the reason given to me by Harold. Yes I might have not mentioned the back part, but it happened during the same incident and the stories about bodyfillars has nothing to do with the claim. I am definitely shopping around for an insurance provider.
