Payment process dragging too long without explanation
I've logged in a claim on the 08/07/2019 and the consultant was all friendly and assisted me. After 2 or 3 days, the guy who is handling my claim informed me that my car has been written off. I waited for validation process and I kept calling to get an update. Was told they're waiting to get a settlement letter from Wesbank and it will take 48hrs. I called the bank myself to get the letter emailed to me and First for women. It was on the 19th. The guy called me on the 22nd to close the whole incident and said everything is done and the payment will be processed on Wednesday the 24th. Bear in mind that the settlement expires on the 25th. We'll, conversation went well and was even asked to rate the service of which I did (rated great). Today is the 29th, and I've decided to call Wesbank to get the balance assuming it must have cleared by now because I still need to claim for a credit shortfall with the other insurance company. To my surprise, the balance is still the same. The bank said no payment was received. I've already paid this month's instalment and I don't mind. And the way this claim is dragging I'll be paying again of which it's unfair for me. Today, 29th I called First for women to check what's going I'm told the payment was made today, made how? Got the new settlement letter? When I asked the lady how long it will take for payment to clear she told me about 5 days. Like really now? Payment to external bank takes about 48hrs. What are the other 3 days for? Somebody please tell what's going on. In 2 days it will be August and I'll still dealing with a July claim? Damn to think I've already referred friends and family to this insurance... They'll be mad at me if they experience the same thing. ***/01
