Over a month and still no payout.

My home flooded in a torrential downpour on the 17/12/15. <br> <br> Almost a month later, after the insurance affiliate has removed 95% percent of the furniture I owned and paid for (couches, beds, etc.) that need to be replaced, I still haven't received a payout on a claim everyone assures me has been approved.<br> <br> I have tried but to no avail to get anyone in a senior position to return my call, not to mention, 'Pierre' the senior assessor handling my claim. <br> <br> I have wasted over 2hrs of my life on phone calls with them and still no payout. <br> <br> I made the unfortunate mistake of requesting additional funds for the grossly insufficient amount they quoted (31/12/15 ) to replace my custom made curtains, the result of which being a week later they conducted a full home inventory which I assume was an attempt to repudiate my claim on the basis of being under insured... a R110 000.00 claim on an R500 000.00 household policy is not underinsured. <br> <br> I then get told they have approved the additional payment amount only to find out the amount is the exact same amount I was quoted 19 days prior. <br> <br> In short, if you require insurance, 1st for Woman is the LAST company you should ever contact.
