My instructions weren't followed, the cancellation date was incorrect
My instructions weren't followed, the cancellation date was incorrect. This put me in a situation where I had to seek immediate cover from the new insurer. All calls are recorded and I told the consultant that cancellation was to be effective 28th February 2026 as I had already paid for the month. That evening I checked my emails and the cancellation letter stated 23rd February 2026 as the cancellation date. My vehicle wouldn't be covered from 24th February 2026. Thankfully the new insurer provided immediate cover. No refund was received for the days where cover was not provided for by 1st for Women. I sent an email to their complaints and no response has been received since. Pathetic customer service.

We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the incorrect cancellation date and the lack of feedback on your complaint.
Please note even though the cancellation date was processed as 23 February, your cover remained active until 28 February as the premium for the full month had already been paid.
Kind regards,
