Lousy reasons given for a rejected claim
I took out a policy with 1st For Women and had an unfortunate incident a few days after the inception of the policy. Both four wheels were ****** from my vehicle and I found my car on bricks the following morning.
I submitted a claim and I was initially told that I had not taken comprehensive cover and that meant I would not be covered. A few days later, I was informed that the wheels were not specified as an additional item when I took out the policy? I always thought that wheels (the rims and tyres) are regarded as part of the vehicle. First For Women insists they have to be covered separately, for whatever reason.
So, First For Women, please tell me how you got to this conclusion? I looked up "vehicle" on Google, and it's described as: "a machine, usually with wheels and an engine, used for transporting people or goods, especially on land"
So, when you accepted the risk, did you assume that mine didn't have wheels and that I needed to tell you? So disappointing
