Lindiwe Mthethwa

On the 27th of November 2024 I was on the phone with 1st for women requesting a quotation for insurance on my car. The agent I was talking to said they needed a few details from me to complete the quotation. The next day I saw an online purchase of R1,443.14 written 1st for women insurance was made on my account without my consent. I called 1st for Women the next day requesting a refund and cancelation of the policy because I only requested a quotation. They said they will only refund me half of my money as I was dually insured. I explained to them that I did not agree to be insured and I only requested a quotation, the agent I was speaking to was very rude and unprofessional she kept saying that since I am dually insured I will only get half my money back. I feel like I have been ****** because the purchase was made without my permission and I cannot reverse the funds and cancel the policy. I am a single parent and I am over 60 years old now money that I need to survive was taken from me. I feel as if the agent cheated me and was not clear on their intentions. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I request that they refund me the full amount that they took from me. I wrote a review a few days back and they said they escalated the matter and will get back to me. No one has called me regarding the matter. I had to call them again today and they said they'll call me back with a response. This is very unprofessional on behalf of 1st for women.
