Insurance attempting to wrip me off

For a insurance that is called first for women, they don't live up to their name.

I submitted a claim for a lost ring on the 6th May and had to call in on the 9th as I hadn't received any communication, after that I received assistance however the outcome of the settlement was non-satisfactory where I was told they will be replacing my ring but at a lower value then the insured value as based on the valuation of their service provider the value was lower, service providers obviously want to make their client happy and would save them money at any chance they get, why are valuations not done when an asset is insured, they can't charge me a premium based on the certificate provided and then value at point of loss, still not making sense how diamonds loose value anyway.

In addition no where in my policy document does it state that the asset will be replaced through their service provider, all it states is the insured value, that time I am told they putting me in the same position I was in, how is that the case if the ring is being replaced but not an identical ring just the so called value based on the specification of diamonds and material used.

After declining the offer on the 13 May, I haven't received any communication once again from the person that was assisting me, so the claim is just noted as finalized, what an experience, I obviously need independent assistance with this matter because they obviously only look for their own interest and not that of the client.
