In the business of rejecting claims
On the 2nd December of 2014 my monthly premium for my car insurance with First for Women had bounced back due to insufficient funds. I arrange a 2nd deduction for the 12th December 2014 and I deposited R800. They also informed me that i would have to pay a R59 penalty fee which I made provision for. On the 7th December 2014, I left the country for Botswana. On the 9 September 2014 my fianc? (married under cultural law) was in a car accident with the vehicle. Upon my return on the 10th December 2014 to sort out the insurance issues i was verbally informed that the car would not be paid off by First for Women due to premiums not paid. When i look back at my statement it shows that first for women had deducted an unauthorised and un-communicated R115 from my account thus making their own premium short purposefully. Therefore the premium bounced again. They then continued to deduct a second R115 AND later on Christmas day R360 which they still cannot give me clear indication of why this money was taken. They even went as far as deducted premiums for January. I then requested for a second chance to pay the premium still within the month of December and was told that i could not do so.
