********** service

I have never been this disgusted with an insurance company. Had a house content insurance with first for women, I have never in my life claimed for any break-in or *******, neither have I ever **** about my claims, I’ve lost keys, had table water damaged and other items they refuse because they fell under the access threshold which I understood.

On the 1st of Jan I had a home ******* I was out of the country, got back put in a claim, my ****s quarter was cleaned out, my garden tools broken as they were used to break my house, brand new lawn mower petrol ******, my dining chair broken, garden furniture broken as they were used to jump over, two laptops and a printer, my daughter had to go back to school without any, lounge TV, DVD players, my paintings collected were damaged, some of the things although recovered were depressingly damaged to a point of not being usable, thx list goes on.

At first the insurance repudiated my claim because I had not declared that there was an open field, which was a lie, then I appealed I was told that of the claim for just over R121k+ I was paid R39k+ and the items for my partner came to R6500 (which was understandable because he wasn’t listed as a resident I accept that) my **** was paid R3500 this is a place where it was cleaned out. The reason was that I am essentially a **** despite disclosing the facts of open land next to me, then the story changed to say yes I did declare however I had also said the place is well maintained and they’ve heard from neighbors it’s not and based on that my claim will be at their discretion. The burglars alone which were the results of burglary cost us over R8000 and yet it has been first for women who think this is just and fair, despite my home being very secure the only issue was the land that I have nothing to do with, have never even seen the owner save for the tractor who comes around to cut yet I should have taken responsibility for it for my claim to have been paid in full, I’m yet to receive any of the recording which I had requested and equally nothing has been forthcoming on the clause that my payout will be dependent on me keeping tabs to the maintenance of the vacant land next door to my house. I had even given them places where they’ll go and buy those things to replace as I was looking to replace not make money out of it, I’m not sure what is expected of this payout to do laptops alone are well over R20k haven’t even added any other things and I have to comprehend with being financially ruined as I had to take a loan to buy the laptop and printer for my daughter and I haven’t even been able to replace all ****** items. I feel not only undermined but insulted to say the least. My policy number is ***. I am very much aggrieved by first for women ****gish behavior.

Good afternoon,

I thought I should give a feedback. Subsequent to my initial complaint first for women did get in touch with me almost immediately, the consultant was Tebogo and got my side of the story and took it back to whoever she needed to talk to and they listened to the recording yet again and I was promised that they’ll waive certain things and will be sent a disc with my recording and will be paid what was due to me, that was some two weeks ago, and I also got an email from Jamie Naicker reiterating the revised offer, and I noted it. On Saturday 29th of February 2020, I got an e-mail from first for women saying I should resend my email as they were not able to get hold of me which I did, and I haven’t heard anything from them since.

I just wish that insurances did not have to leave things to this level that it had with me a lot of distress was caused by the handling of the claim. Thank you to Hello Peter first for women was able to relook regardless of the outcome.

Regards,
