********** Transaction

My debit order date with FFW is 21st of each month, to my surprise today I see that they debited the premium from my bank account. I call the call centre to enquire why my account was debited without my consent on a date we have not agreed upon. Feedback from the consultant Pieter was very inconsistent it went as follows:

1. We have not debited your account we have only put a hold on the money...my feedback was my the money is out of my account so what does a hold mean

2. Pieter tells me that when I accepted the T&C I agreed to the deductions...I request that he pulls out my schedule and tell me which clause indicates that I authorise FFW to debit my account whenever they wish without my authorisation...My schedule under payment details stipulates the following: IMPORTANT: Please note that your policy is a monthly policy and must be paid in advance on the deduction dates as they are stated above. If your premium is not received on your preferred deduction date, an attempt may be made to collect your premium on a more suitable date in an effort to keep you covered. If payment is not received for three consecutive months, the policy will be cancelled immediately.
The payment will be collected by I.S.Services (Pty) Ltd on the agreed deduction dates. If your deduction date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, your debit order may be lodged for an earlier date.

Now the 21 December 2016 is not a Sunday nor a public holiday so I do not understand why my account was debited. When checking my bank statement for December 2015, the premium was deducted on the 21 December 2015, why then a change in 2016.

I then request that the D/O is reversed as it was never authorised and submitted for the agred upon date, I am given hoops to jump over inorder to get my money back.

Is this standard practice that FFW goes into their clients' bank accounts and willy nilly deducts funds that they are not authorised to do as and when they please?
