First For Women - Value Added Products: For the past 3 years I have received premium renewal price increases for their Legal & Personal Accident Insurance policies of 29.5% per item. On contacting them, I was quoted a lower premium which I accepted and asked the agent, Sisonke to forward me the updated quote. When I had not received anything a few days later, I again contacted them and spoke to the Agents Manager, Cecil who sent me the updated quote, but it was not for the amount the agent had quoted. The quote was still at 19.5% for the Legal policy and 15.6% for the Personal Accident policy. I requested a justification for these increases that were far above the official 3%-4% inflation rate that is published. I asked Cecil to send me the justification on how FFW got to these increase percentages. He said that the computer generated the % increase but could not explain how or why. He said he would get his boss to phone me the following day (29 Sept - but I have not received any phone calls to-date). As they state that they record all calls, I asked him to send me a copy of the call I had with the agent who quoted me the lower premium. This was over a week ago and still nothing has been sent to me. On Monday 6 October, I sent a follow up email to FFW (to various email addresses I had, with read receipts on them). All three email addresses have read my email and yet still absolutely nothing has been received from anyone at FFW.

Just trying to discover if other clients of First for Women have experienced similar pathetic service from them.

As a pensioner, how can we be expected to afford these unacceptable price increases. Derek White
