First for women ****** me
I was involved in a car accident on the 3rd of November, I submitted a claim on the 4th of November on the 5th of November I received a car from the claims department and was told that my car would be written off since the cost to fix my car was 255 000 and the current market value of my car is R265 000. The consultant requested that I submit some documents and told me that he will finalize everything by the 8th of November. On the 7th the consultant called me requesting information of my previous insurer, he asked me to list them till 2013, I couldn’t. He told me that my claim will take time since he has to verify all my previous insurers. The consultant then contacted me on the 14th and asked me to participate in a conference call with my previous insurer cause they refused to give him details about me without my consent, later that same day he called my partner who was driving the car when we had the accident and also my employer to verify details about my car’s use and parking situation at work. On the 15th of November he calls me and tells me that my car will be paid on the market value which is now 232 000, I asked him why the value of the car has changed from our previous conversation, he told me that I can go to Mini Cooper, that is the current value of the car. I believe that this guy deliberately delayed my claim to save his company money. He knew that if he delayed by a few days the value of my car would drop. 1st for women did not put me first as a women, at the time of the accident we where traveling with my 11day old baby. I’m a new mom, I really didn’t need the added stress that the insurance added. I would like to know what my consultant was busy working on from the 7th till the 13th of November, cause from my side he looked at my case on the 14th.
