First for Women putting women last...

In the 2017 Spring Storms the roof of my house suffered significant damage which led to damage of ceilings and floors. An assessor came out and made a request that the entire roof be repacked as many of the tiles had moved and lifted. After the contractor left, there was damage to the roof above my bedroom that had not even been part of the initial claim. Since 2017, I have phoned First for Women on numerous occasions as with big storms I literally have slow running 'waterfalls' flooding my bedroom and causing damage in my daughters bedroom. The floors that had been newly laid in 2016, are by now damaged as well as with each heavy storm the floors get soaked (laminate flooring). Not only am I being assured each time I phone in, that a supervisor will call me back and that it is escalated but the insurances laissez-faire attitude has made the 1 year contractor guarantee on the roof work expire, and I still sit with a damaged roof and damaged floors. This is also a health hazard as in some storms, depending where the wind is blowing from, water runs out through the ceiling light!!! In the last two months, an assessor has come out again and then...silence. First For Women is not living up to their name. On the contrary, it seems women are put last...let them complain...they'll eventually go away...right? #wedeservebetter

Sadly it is now 12 days later and my experience hasn't changed. No reply, no update as to where the case is. First for women still putting women last. Twelve more days of rain where the bedroom and the ceiling have suffered further damage, the floor has been soaked a few more times and there is 'mouldy' smell from all the rain upon entry to the bedroom. The additional rain has now created leaks in my daughter's bedroom and damaged her cupboard, ceiling and the cornices that were newly fitted when the initial damage had been repaired are now getting damaged from the rain too. This non-response from First For Women seems to leave me no alternative than having to go to the Ombudsman....really first for Women????

Sadly, it is 2 assessors later, 2 months later, and still, there is no response or action from First For Women. Same story as before, an assessor comes out and reports how extensive the further damage is, then....no action. First for women still putting women last. Even after their specialist consultant followed up and promised to get back to me asap 2 weeks ago, looooong big silence. Time to go to the Ombudsman by the looks of it. Ohhhh, I so hoped to avoid that, but seriously, we're in 2019, this claim has been lodged in October 2017, surely they had ample time to rectify it, especially because the damage gets bigger with every storm.
