First for women on building's cover are ******! Shop around, you don't know when the worst will happen. They'll run away! Ba warned!
Good afternoon people of God. Guys, my insurer of choice; FFW has let me down. Early last month I registered a claim with them which was finalized hassle-free. When registering the claim I called them and the claim was registered by a lady who also suggested that she adds a building's claim as I was insured for building and home contents. Ok. After weeks of waiting, the Assessor came last week. The guy is s funny according to the report he gave. The claim was declined. I called the insure after weeks because I was worried that it continued to rain and only then Lerika wrote me an email stating that the claim is with the senior management and that I should expect a response in a day. The report that was read to me was that the roof shows that someone walked on it carelessly. And that the damage was not related to this claim...it was old. Ey! That's surprising. I've been with FFW for 5years + and I never claimed for water sipping in through that window. I've never had no one walking on my roof, not even my kids would play on the roof 😒. The guy didn't even want to come inside the house to properly and carefully inspect how and where the water had sipped in. After begging him, he came in taking a photo of the door I had recently replaced since the meranti door was damaged He never bothered to come inside the diningroom where the damage was. I begged him and he blatantly refused. He then took a picture from my driveway when I also suggested that the water that damaged my front door might have rolled through the driveway down the verandah. On the report, it is stated that he never saw the door that was replaced, he never asked to see it since he was in a hurry. He was complaining that he left Durban at 02:30 which suggests that he was up early. He also complained that he needed to see 2 more clients one in Qumbu and one in the rural area in Mt Frere and that he had to drive back to Durban. I could understand his exhaustion but I never thought that he would just come here for the sake of ticking the register, I thought he came to work. Of the window damage is not related to this claim, why have I never had such an experience? I've never had water sipping in through these windows. The only instance where I've had a claim registered was when there were floods on this area which resulted in water coming in through the front door into the house. If the damage was not from this claim, why would I replace the door? I had to replace the front door due to damage and replace it with a steel door which has a step bar that would not let water in, even if it could but that would be minimal. Guys be warned this insurer hires perfect ****** to inspect the buildings because they want to run away from finalizing the claim. This was my second building's claim. The first one I had, they sis the same thing and paid part of it. I am not sure I'd I should continue with them. If the door and the windows doesn't form part of the building, then where do they belong? If they reject claims of this nature, what is it that they have covered? I'm scared. I'm worried of something bad happening...God forbid...and they run away. They don't miss the premiums, they're very punctual on that. I request you Hellopeter.com team to ask them on my behalf: why, if the damage is not recent, am only experiencing this now after 5years + of being a member? Using your logic, common sense, it shows that the damage is recent. I even explained to this dude why I replaced the door immediately...I wanted to prevent future happenings and this one is steel with a step bar. He agreed. He took a picture of my driveway. We left the verandah unmopped so that he could see and tell how the water sipped in and why I had to replace the door with one I have. People be warned The first Assessor for my other building's claim was from Durban and unfortunately, I am a Priest, I'd never do a bribe, if that is what he expected. If FFW want to run away from their responsibility, so be it. I will have my windows replaced as I had with the door. The door costed me R7999 and labour of R1500, a bag of cement a sand. Tell me why am I still with them? Im still asking myself that.FFW ARE ****** GUYS WHEN IT COMES TO BUILDING'S COVER! Don't say we didn't warn you. They are making money ungodlessly. The water that sipped in through the window shows more clearly from the inside how it got in, their assessor took pictures from outside 😳. It's funny 😄 😆 🤣. It is a joke. Even their management couldn't use logic, just to check how long have we been with this client; has she ever registered a similar claim? But by the look of things, these people are there to make money. I'm shopping around, you should. Happy shopping my dear South Africans. Shame on you Assessors from Durban.
