First for women? not really!
I have been involved in a pile up accident at a red robot. My vehicle was stationery, I was minding my own business, following the rules of the road.
There was traffic. The car in front of us was stationary, we were stationary with the handbrake up. A X3 Silver BMW drove at a speed into the BMW White 1 series, who drove directly into the back of us (Honda white Jazz), and we braked but still moved forward into the Silver Honda Accord in front of us. We hardly touched him. But it did cause a knock on the front bumper.
I am pregnant, I wasn't feeling well, and this day my mom drove me. I am the regular driver and I understand that there is now additional excess.
BUT, this accident was not my fault, we were standing STATIONERY at the robot. My vehicle is badly damaged, and I cant cough up 6700 rand to have my car fixed (excess)....... I spoke to the consultant of first for women and I was blatantly told that I need to claim the excess from the other persons insurance.... UHM HELLO>? why should I be doing that. isn't this why I am insured? so that you guys can fight the battle for me? I cant have my car fixed without paying excess, but I don't have excess and this wasn't my fault!
I'm a single mom, to be, and this stress is affecting my health and well-being. I cant believe that your consultants will tell me that I need to sort this out myself! I'm so frustrated, I'm giving birth soon, and how do I get to my checkup and give birth with a car that's smashed?.
I really thought this insurance was 1st for women like they call themselves. Feels more like..... "take care of yourself and we take your money". I'm extremely upset and very emotionally because my car is smashed and now it seems to be my own problem if I don't have the excess to fix the car.......... whats the point. May as well cancel this insurance. Cant believe this is happening to me, and I'm giving birth soon.
