First for Women..........more like Last for women

With reference to the above policy, and the email below, please find my feedback regarding your “service” regarding my insurance claim.

· My car was written off due to an accident which was through no fault of my own. The lack of sensitivity and empathy displayed by your company and your seemingly trained consultants is at best, dismal.

· The accident was reported on Monday 29th August. I received a call number. The assessment occurred on Wednesday which was acceptable.

· On Friday, the 2nd I was informed that the damage of the car amounted to R26000-00 and the book value of the car was R25000-00. FFW had made the decision to write my car off, and I would receive balance of payment minus the excess. At NO POINT was any other option explained or offered to me. I stated that I was not prepared to accept that the vehicle was to be s****ped as apart from cosmetic damage, the rest of the vehicle was in good working order. The response I received was “I will talk to my manager”. I was finally informed that my payback option was R19000-00 Minus s**** value (??), and minus my excess (which I might get back if FFW could claim it back from the other party’s insurance. I heard nothing more.

· I then received a tatty sms rating some “consultant” as to their service, my response was a zero. Much to my amu*****t and surprise, I received a phone call two days later from a seemingly concerned “consultant” as to why I rated FFW as a zero.

My reasons are as follows:

· The complete lack of empathy and understanding toward a client when handling a claim, regardless of the size of the accident, it is traumatic especially when the car is written off.

· I received a document stating “that my policy has been cancelled as there is no vehicle to insure” after payment of my September premium (how convenient).

· No options were explained to me, if I had not done my research, I would have accepted the verdict, FFW would have written off an old but very well maintained car. I have no doubt that the car would have been repaired and sold at a profit as damages as, previously stated cosmetic.

· No AR number was requested and I provided FFW with the third party’s insurance and contact details, essentially DOING YOUR WORK.

· I also had requested a process or guideline as to what the process would be going forward as I have never found myself in this situation, needless to say, I have heard nothing.

· I also fail to see why my premium has been deducted for a “non-existent” vehicle. I also fail to see why I have to pay excess when FFW has the third party’s insurance number AND if they had bothered following up on the AR number, it is plainly obvious that the third party was at fault, not me so I fail to see why I am being penalised especially considering that I have never claimed from FFW before.

· A gave your so-called consultant two time options as to when one of your “managers” can contact me (Between 16h00 and 17h00 or 07h00 and 08h00) because strangely enough, when I am not getting my car driven into from the back, in my spare time I actually do work.

· Unfortunately, yesterday was not good and I had to miss the calls. True form, FFW did not disappoint and no phone call was received between 07h00 and 08h00, this does nothing more than show your contempt for the client. This hardly surprises after my experience with your fly-by-night company.

· My car has now been standing for a week, I have received no feedback at all and there is zero continuity with regard to handling my claim.

I have no doubt that once again, the client (myself) will be brushed off again and this email will be ignored
