First For Women is a disgrace

First For Women insurance is the worst I have ever dealt with. When the agents take your call to sign you up they are very eager to do that and make as if you are covered in all aspects. Well after three separate claims I was furious to find out they had all sorts of hidden reasons to reject my claims. Even taking extra specified insurance for my swimming pool and when claiming for a leaking pipe they rejected the claim saying it's due to ground shift. Second claim was for my boundary face brick wall section was blown down. Our entire townhouse complex is built exactly the same. FFW rejected that claim saying it was not built to specs. That means a complex of 77 houses is not legal??? I mean REALLY? Thirdly I got a leak in my shower. That too was rejected as they say it is the outlet pipe and not covered, only inlet water pipes. When I queried this the agent said I should be doing maintenence on my pipes. REALLY? I asked who in their right mind breaks down walls to maintain their pipes? What mentality is that. When trying to speak to the claims department it is non existent as all you can get through to is the call centre and they can't help you. We are not treated as clients but good enough to take our money.

Very frustrating when you don't get feedback with your claims, I had to keep phoning and getting angry as you dont speak to the people handling the claims. It's almost like they are protected behind the call centre. Stay away from this company.

I phoned the legal assist line which is part of the guardian assist. They would not take my call and said they would get someone to phone me back. I'm still waiting. Disgrace!
