I have been a loyal customer for 5 years. I never made a claim. Always paid my premium. Recently, their premium for full car insurance coverage became too costly for me (R940pm) so when I asked to cancel they negotiated with me and I downgraded my insurance to Third Party Accidental and Fire insurance (something like R460). A week later I was contacted by Miway and offered full comprehensive cover for R446. So, I phoned FFW to cancel. After quite some time talking to the guy, disputing his claims that the cover MiWay offers is somehow lesser, he put the phone down in my ear. I then sent them an email requesting that my insurance be canceled and they agreed. They canceled my cover immediately (13th December) eventhough I paid for the full month, but I thought to let it go because I would finally be rid of them. I have the email to prove it. This morning I wake up and they debited R501.30 from my savings account. I honestly feel like I have entered a contract with Planet Fitness again. This is disgusting. Don't use FFW as an insurance provider. They treat their long-term loyal customers like ****.
