First for Woman "NOTICE TO ALL WOMAN" (Unfair Claims Process)
I have my insurance cover with FFW for almost 8 years. I pay an installment of almost R2500 monthly. I went with this company as a woman I would expect some level of protection over my personal assets.
Yesterday, I was at the mall and my car was broken into and my laptop was ******. There were no signs of break in and only realized this upon my return home. I immediately went to the police station and was told of the car jamming device that could of been used hence there is no visible sign of breaking into the vehicle.
I called FFW after checking that I was insured and it does state that I am covered for portable possessions up to R36k. Once my claim was finalized, I received a letter stating that my claim will not be upheld due to there being no visible break into my vehicle.
This has got me thinking that if the ***** is smarter than the insure and has devices that can break into your car without damage then the insurer is not up to speed with what is actually happening out in society and they are behind and wont cover your losses. I am currently now at loss here and even a week ago they sent me a letter to confirm that they have increased my policy cover for all my items to ensure that I am not under covered so that I am not at loss.
I also noticed that I have been paying twice for the cover of my Mac Book for the passed few years.
The letter that I received confirming my decline does not even mention loss to my portable items it mentions household "if it was ****** from my household'' so is this a standard letter that is sent to everyone and not actually taking the customers claim seriously or properly acknowledging it?
I never expected to have this problem with FFW. My plea to all woman that are insured with this company to check your cover and what you actually are covered for as this is a total *******!!! U WOULD NOT WANT TO BE IN MY SITUATION AFTER PAYING FOR YEARS YOU GET NOTHING OUT.
1. I will be moving my insurance with immediate effect 2. I will be lodging a dispute to get to the bottom of this 3. I will also ensure that I write to the ombudsman to about my claim
I wont allow myself to be ********** after being a faithful customer to this organization for almost 8 years.
