FFW left me speechless

I decided to move my insurance on two cars and my home to another company because FFW introduced a 22 % annual increase in my policy, while the inflation rate is 3.3 %.

Tshego Ravoroko phoned me on 5 March 2021 at 09:20 and convinced me to stay with FFW, by providing me with a premium which was less than the previous year...

During this conversation of which a recording can be provided, I said that a new bank account will come into effect from 1 April 2021, but that there is no change to the banking details for March 2021.

During our telephonic conversation, I repeated 4 times that the March premium had to be deducted against the existing account number and that the new banking details would only come into effect on 1 April 2021.

You can imagine my disgust and shock when I received a letter from FFW on 6 March 2021, stating that my debit order did not go through. Yes, you guessed it - against my specific instructions, the March premium was debited against the account number which I specifically said would only come into effect from 1 April 2021.

FFW acted ********ly as they did not have my permission to deduct a premium from this bank account before 1 April 2021.

I wish to cancel my FFW policy with immediate effect and expect a reimbur*****t of the penalty fee charged by the bank for the ******** attempt by FFW to deduct a premium from my bank account without my permission.

If this penalty fee is not reimbursed by COB on Monday, 8 March 2021, legal action will be taken against FFW.

I received a call from Jeanine Letsoala on 9 March 2021 at 09:16 regarding the cancellation of my policy, with immediate effect. She sent me a cancellation letter stating that my policy is valid until 1 April 2021. I said to her the letter that I received was incorrect and that she has to resend the correct letter. She explained that she has submitted a request to the cancellation department and that I will receive a letter, stating that the policy has been cancelled, effective immediately and that there will be no debit order deductions as FFW informed me in writing that I have no cover for March 2021 because of an unpaid debit order that they *******ly deducted from a bank account, without my permission.

So why was I not surprised when I received a letter from FFW at 10:34 stating that the ******* debit order did not go through.

If FFW attempts one more ******* debit order against my account, I will take immediate legal action.

Enough already!
