False and misleading advertising

First for women had a referral campaign and all you had to do is refer up to 10 people to do a quote and if three of your referrals does the quote then you qualify for a R1000 woolworths voucher. I referred 9 people and 3 was called and given a quote. I was also sent an email to say that I have won my R1000 voucher and need to enter my tax number, once that is done they will send me an sms with further details of the voucher and I can then redeem it.

I entered my tax number and no sms was sent for more than 48 hours. I called the call center on several occasions and emailed my query to ********** but no one came back to me.

I then called the call center again and spoke to Beverley who now has come back to me with a conclusion in saying the referral department says that they have ran out of vouchers and there is nothing they can do about it.

Now I feel that this is pathetic and unprofessional. How can you promise someone something in written notification and then just say sorry, we made an error and can no longer give it to you.

If they ran out of vouchers then why cant they compensate me with something to the same value.

I want this to be answered as I feel that first for women makes such a fuss about caring about women and then they pull this stunt!!!
