failure to finalise a claim for over 2 months

I am extremely dissatisfied with the manner in which my insurance claim was handled by First for Women.

I lodged a claim in December 2025 for hail and storm damage to my property in Claremont, Pretoria. To date almost two months late, no repairs have been done and no meaningful assistance has been provided. Despite numerous follow-ups via calls and emails, my claim has not been taken seriously.

I have paid premiums to this insurer for many years, yet when I needed them most, I was ignored.

Save yourself the frustration and do not take cover with this insurer. They promise you the moon, but when it’s time to honour their obligations, they are silent, as if you do not exist. I have been insured with them since around 2017, but the moment I submitted a claim, I became irrelevant.
