Excess amount

I am a first for woman client for almost 10 years CLAIM FREE. Never been in a accindent, have a valid licence for 10 years. December 2014 someone bumped into me. Not a lot of damage, only 2 small dents. They told me my access amount will be R3500. I told them I don't have that kind of money and I will get my own quotes, hoping I will find a quote for less so that my access amount will be less. I was told I am not allowed to get my own quote and must accept the one they got and the person who bumped into me don't have insurance so I am liable for the R3500. I told them my salary is very low and I pay them R800 per month and think it is unexceptable that the amount is so high for someone that is 10 years claim and accident free. Yesterday after 5 months of not returning my calls, they told me my acces went up yearly with my instalments. That is the reason it is so high because when I took out the insurance it was R800. I told them that I didn't know it worked like that and was never told and it is not reasonable because if I was suppose to go another 10 years accident free my accees will be like R20 000. I ask the manager to phone me. If not I will go to the newspapers.
