Disgusting service (or rather lack thereof)

I made a claim in December following a house break-in. When they contacted me in January I said I was unhappy with the amount they were wanting to pay out (R5000, R3275 after deducting excess). This is the amount they are offering for numerous items of my husband's clothing that were ******. One of these was an Everton FC tracktop bought at Goodison Park. Going to the stadium & buying the top was a lifelong dream come true for my husband. Any thoughts of perhaps being able to buy a similar top online are dashed with the measly amount 1st for women is offering. Not to mention the other items ******: Sebago shoes & Lacoste takkies. Everyone (besides 1st for women it would seem) knows how expensive men's clothing & shoes are. Our house is well secured- the ******* got in by removing roof tiles & breaking through the ceiling- so the break in was not due to any negligence on our part. We pay our premiums faithfully every month. All this seems of no significance to 1st for women. My husband rightfully tells everyone that we were ****** twice- by the ******* & then by the insurance company. To make matters worse I cannot get in touch with any manager/ supervisor to help resolve the issue. I have made about 7 telephone calls to the number given for the manager in charge of my claim (Jonelda) & sent her an e-mail (which she received) & to date I have received no correspondence from anyone. It is now 06 March! What disgusting service, or should I say lack of service! My laptop was also ******. I use it daily for work, so not having it is a real inconvenience & is affecting my work efficiency. Well, I shouldn't expect that to concern 1st for women as efficiency & competence are clearly not important to them. I am totally disgusted. My next stop is the ombudsman.
