Disgustful and disappointed with First for woman insurance

Good day

I was insured by First for woman insurance and in December 2015 a car reversed into my car in a parking lot. I submitted my claim straight away and reqeusted a rental car as I was under the impression that it as included in my policy. They told me that I never responded to the lady when the policy was sold and so I requested a copy of that conversation. I am still waiting for that.

On 12 January 2016 I paid R4600 to collect my car at the panelbeater. Ever since I have been trying to get a refund on my access as they said I would get. I have been e-mailing and phoning them to get feedback about every day. In February 2016, I had to phone the other party to get his particulars and information of his insurance and vehicle because according to first for woman insurance, they could not get hold of the other party and I had to phone the insurance company with all the datails.

Days passes without any feedback again and I started sending emails every day. If I did get a response from them, it was just to say that this guy is no longer handling my claim and a new email address was given to me, so I emailed that guy and then the same response from him.. For weeks they were blaming other people but no one could give me any answers.

So then I emailed their complaints department and eventually someone phoned me to tell me that the other party has never submitted his claim to his insurance company. (After I gave First for woman insurance all the details of his insurance, even the person's name that is always handling his insurance)

They told me that they sent through an email to the other party to get all required information (again) and that they will contact me the following day with an update and yet I am again still waiting for their call.

R4600 to me is a lot of money and I think that waiting 5 months for my refund is totally unacceptable. And for a big insurance company as First for women, I expected much more.

I was promised the best customer service and loyalty from them, but the experience I have with them is just the total opposite.
