Disappointed customer

I have both car and household insurance with the service provider. I took household insurance long after my vehicle insurance. Two or three weeks or so there was a huge storm which left many of us with damages. I put in a claim & informed my family not to register when the disaster management people come by to access the damages because we have insurance. Mind you, I don't stay at home, how ever frequent on a monthly. I've waited this long for a call back regarding my claim, only to be told that, my house isn't in a position, a good enough state to be insured, but they've been happily taking my money. Isn't it up to them to assess the house to see if one is indeed paying for a \good enough"house? I've been paying close to. R200 for over 9 months"
