I don't quite know how insurance companies work but I am SO disgusted with FFW today! I called to let them know that my address has changed. We now live in a access controlled complex with electric fencing. Our unit is ground floor and unfortunately does not have burglar bars or a burglar alarm. After spending quite some time on the phone the agent \kindly"informs me that my home contents can longer be insured until I have burglar alarm or burglar bars fitted! Please tell me WHERE I am going to get over R2000 to have one of these items fitted???? I feel this is unfair as well as ****************. My premium is nearly R1000 p/m for home contents"
