Conflicting messages and no proper update on claim

Tata Neon double cab:

on the 19th February my parents had an accident, the has gone for repairs, it hasn't been returned as yet. As much there is an understanding that parts had to procured from international service providers, this has left my parents without a car for 2and a half months.

Tata Indico

the Tata was involved in an accident on the 6th April, insurance first informed us they had a Panelbeater in Florida, I requested for a Panelbeater that's closer or for the car to be taken to the Panelbeater used for the neon. Today I call to follow up on the progress I get told it's a write off. My parents have give a false impression that it will be fixed only for it to be written off
