Comon' guys

It has been such a frustrating month for me.

A month without a proper phone. Can you imagine?

First for Women ignored my requests via the online portal to please call me on a Saturday on my husbands number OR to call him directly. How do you speak to someone when you're lodging a claim for your phone without a phone?

I don't have a landline at work or home. I rely solely on my cellphone to run my company, my contract with SBG and my family life.

I had to go buy a cheapie phone so that I could have a phone call with your inflexible staff.

So technically my claim cost me my excess and the cost of a phone which barely worked. I can send you a copy of the takealot receipt if you don't believe me. You're welcome to have it, its a piece of BEEP.

Emails were ignored. Or responded with someone will get back to you. Guess what? They never did.

Phone requests from yesterday were ignored.

I'm still awaiting an email from the consultant I spoke with yesterday regarding increasing my home contents cover with you guys. Do you not like money?

Today I asked to speak to someone from your complaints department and your staff member simply said to leave a rating at the end of the call. Do you not accept complaints?

Also my phone was insured for R4900 and I'm only getting paid out R4500 minus excess.

I'm choosing to get paid out because I can't stand to wait another second for relief from not having a proper phone. You guys admitted to closing my claim due to an admin issue leaving me stranded with no communication. Your online portal just continued to reflect "In Progress" on the wrong phone.

I am so disappointed in you guys. I doubt I will continue my insurance with you guys in the new year if I don't at least get refunded for the cheapie phone I had to buy. Never mind what this cost me in phone conversations, time and petrol because I had to go see my client instead of calling him.

For shame you guys. People expect more from their insurance company.

Hi Dorothy I'm aware that the claim has been finalised. What a struggle. I can't say I'm the least bit impressed with how things went. Your system needs an update to reflect accurately what is happening in your claims department. How can my claim say In progress when it is technically closed? That is seriously wrong.

Hi Dorothy. Probably not a great response. They broke into my house today with me alone in it. 45 seconds to get into the house from when I saw them tampering with the gate. Luckily I was able to get away. Injuries I inflicted were self inflicted trying to get away. Managed to lock myself in the bathroom. Nothing was taken, I think the alarm scared them away. My husband was freaking out on the phone with first for nobody today as they wouldn't send anyone to help us. We were sitting with NO security. Gate box broken, door broken open, security gate crowbared open. Literally our house was standing open. We had someone who could help us but he wasn't VAT registered so the agent said NO we couldn't use him. Eventually the neighbour hood watch came to help us install new locks (destroying the evidence. ADT will patrol the area tonight. The police came while the locks were untouched at least. Just happy to be alive. Please call my husband, I can't cope with phone calls right now. It would be great if this claiming experience goes a little better. Definitely going to be changing my gate to a Maxidoor after this. Don't feel safe at all. Matthys ********** He's pretty upset. I'd listen to the call before calling him so you can understand what we went through today. Maybe you guys will have a chance to redeem yourselves after all. #gladImAlive
