Communication Issues

I had comprehensive insurance with the Telesure Group (Auto & General and First for Women) for years and currently I am disappointed with their communication with their clients.

Last year around this time, I was happy with the quote I have received and accepted the quote. November 2016 I had a small incedent with my vehicle and had to claim. The claims dept gave me excellent service. The only part where I was dissapointed is when the damage on my vehicle was R20000, but still I had to pay an excess of R5000. I would have completely understood if the excess was R5000 if the vehicle was written off. I use to work for a Bank's Legal insurance dept and as far my knowledge goes the full excess will be requested by the insurance if the vehicle was ******, burned or written off.

I was informed to prevent that my premium to increase I have to forward a notification that I was insured previously. Which I have done on two occations. December 2016 my premium went up and when questioned why no notification was received. So, I left it as is and continued to pay for the increased premium as i was not in the mood to make a fuss or sound like an old hag. I have learned this morning my premium went up in March 2017 and no notification was sent through to me or contact was made to inform me of the increase.

I don't mind the premium going up or excess that needs to be paid, but a company needs to communicate with their clients. At the end the client is the one that keeps the companies doors open.

I am truly sorry to say, but I shall not do business with one of the insurance companies that falls under the Telesure Group. Thank you for the service I have received, but to me communication with a client is of absolute.

Kind Regards,

Miss Hammond
