Claims process sucks!!!!!!!

Not impressed with the outcome of my claim.

On Jan 5th, 2021 I was involved in an accident, which thankfully, was minor. I immediately contacted my insurer and logged a claim. I took all the necessary steps, as advised to me, to ensure that claim would be process accurately.

to my dismay, I have not been fully informed of the process or what the possible outcome would be until I received a call on Jan 20th and had been advised that my claim has been rejected due to the fact that the damages quote amounts to R4100. Mind you, my excess fee is R5900. So to put it simply, 1st for Women has rejected this claim as the amount has not exceeded the excess fee amount. I was told to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket and after reassessing the vehicle they 'might' pay me back. I am unhappy about this!!!

I have been with this insurer for the last 5/6 years and this has been my first time ever claiming. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed. Had I known from the get-go this this would be the outcome, I never would've signed up with this company. I will definitely be cancelling and look for a different company to be insured with.

Reviewer Update
I've read many reviews about 1st for Women debiting accounts early and I've fallen victim to that.
Why does my account get debited I. The 22nd of the month when the agreed debit date (on black and white) is the 31st of the month???!!!
