Claims Nightmare
My vehicle has been residing at Renew-it Greenstone since the 15th of November; I went to fetch my car on the 14th of December as I received a message from Renew-it that it was ready. However when I got there my car still had scratches on it, dents on the left side of the vehicle(two doors) and the rubber that they replaced in the driver’s door was already torn. The car was also two different colors! I then left Renew-it on the 14th without collecting my vehicle, as I couldn’t accept it in that condition. They assured me that they would phone an assessor to come and have a look at the car, I went ahead and phoned FFW on the 15th of December, just to make sure an assessor was appointed to the car. Since then, there has been no movement in the process of fixing the car. I spoke to a consultant from FFW, Yaseen, on Friday, 22nd of Jan. He informed me that I would have to make a second claim to get the car fixed and that I would have to pay the excess again on the new claim. I am not willing to submit a second claim because I am not willing to pay for the mistakes of the insurance and Renew-it.
I also sent my previous comprehensive insurance information to FFW (emails sent on the 17th of December, policy no: RSRSPL00005 and RSRS00238PLE), to show and prove that the car has never been in a previous accident prior to the accident on the 15th of December, since the day I bought it.
Full Disclaimer: There is a scratch on the left back side of the car above the wheel, where I s****ped my car previously, not once have I claim nor do I expect them to fix this, but all of the other things they need to attend to. The status of my car on the renew-it website is delivered and I have now been without a car for 68 days.
