Claimants abused

My grand daughter tried to lodge a claim with her car insurer, and after spending an hour giving details, she ran out of air time and asked that they phone her back. Instead of assistance she received a cold call trying to sell life insurance ... this is unacceptable and an abuse of her insurance contract. The incident took place a week ago and she has still to receive a call or able to initiate a claim. Hang your heads in shame "Last for women".

Update:

As discussed with our Customer Relation Specialist, we have investigated your concerns and it's clear that we have failed the policy holder on customer service. The service offered to the policy holder was certainly not up to standard, which we will address on an internal basis.

We have since been in contact with the policy holder and the claim is in progress. Please accept our humble apologies for the inconvenience this has caused and we invite you to contact our Customer Relation Specialist should you require further assistance.

Kind Regards,
The First for Women Team.

Dorothy, from complaint investigations, contacted me to acknowledge a failure on the part of the call centre, which they will address. They have registered the claim and the claims department will be contacting her for further details. Let's hope it all goes OK!
