Charged for 12 Years After Vehicle Write-Off

I am extremely disappointed with First for Women’s handling of this matter and the complete lack of response.

My Suzuki Swift (2008 1.5 GL) was written off in an accident in November 2014. First for Women insured the vehicle, assessed the claim, settled it in December 2014, and cancelled the motor policy at that time.

Despite this, a Scratch & Dent policy linked to that same vehicle continued to be charged monthly for over 12 years, even though the vehicle no longer existed and First for Women had full knowledge of the write-off and claim settlement.

Over the years, I queried the unexplained debit order with my bank on multiple occasions. They were unfortunately unable to identify the source, so I had no way of knowing it related to First for Women.

I received no annual communication, renewal notices, or policy reviews during this period. I only became aware of this policy in early December 2025, when I was contacted regarding an outstanding payment. This was the first direct contact I had received in more than a decade.

Since early December, I have sent ongoing emails and made several phone calls. Each time I am reassured that someone will respond, yet I receive no follow-up beyond automated acknowledgements.

The issue is logged under ***, but remains unresolved.
