cancellation of policy without prior informing client

So last week i receive an email from 1st for woman that my policy was cancelled because they couldnt debit my account. The noble thing will be for 1st for woman to first inform me and give me time to go to my bank and sort out the problem as i have no idea why the debit order was blocked. I just called 1st for woman's customer care number and i was informed that i have to pay reinstation fee but how when you just cancelled my policy before talking to me. So unprofessional and inconsiderate.
