Break-in in December 2018

If you have a break-in in December you will be lucky if they sort it out before the end of January - you will be told to take your own precautions in the interim. If you have another break- in due to the first one then you will be told the your house is prone to break-ins and if you don't fight them they will walk all over you - they have supervisors that assist you that are from the police officers previously - telling you about why you have break-ins They claim that most of their suppliers are closed during this period - so you will have to live in fear with a broken door/gate and locks/ windows They only have one supplier for the Durban area which is 75 kms out of Durban which is Break Thru services so the supplier can only come out when they have enough work in Durban - together with that you have to allow them to work after hours into the night The tell you repairs will be completed within a certain time frame and then do not pitch so your day of leave off work goes wasted They have delay tactics that they use They advise you to pay the supplier cash for the excess - then they delay the work and claim that you have not paid the excess into the bank account Their excesses are way more that other insurances FFW customer services is appalling to say the least

I have had the break-in on the 12 December 2018 - we now on the 21 January 2019 - not even half of the repairs have been completed

I have had t oput in a claim for a boundary wall that is receding due to the landslide and rains - but the claim was rejected - assessor claimed that its wear and tear and deterioration Had to get a precast specialist out at and was advised there was no deterioration but due to the landslides fence was receding - taken it up but still no response to the claim as yet

My advise think hard before you take out insurance with FFW - there are definitely more reliable and customer focused insurers out there
