Beware of this company

I am extremely dissatisfied with 1st for Women as they will find any reason to wrongfully reject a claim. I have 3 vehicles insured for 3rd party cover having been with the company for 3 years and never previously claiming. Last year my son reversed into another car and we submitted the paperwork as required including a police accident report number. As per the policy we were comfortable in the knowledge that we would only be responsible for the damage to his vehicle and not the other party's. After numerous communications I was eventually informed that I needed to pay an excess of R2600 in order for the payment to be released to the other party. I immediately did so and was relieved that the issue was finally resolved only to receive an email that the claim has been rejected and the case closed. The reason being that we did not provide pictures of the damage to the other vehicle! I told the lady who called us to contact the other party as their details are on the paperwork. Subsequently the claim was rejected as the company now needs pictures of the accident scene! We are now being harassed by the other party as they say that we are the cause of the claim being rejected. To add insult to injury I am now waiting for the excess to be refunded. This is totally disgusting and I have never had such a terrible experience ever in dealing with insurance claims. 1st for Women should honour the claim if they really protect their clients as they claim to do. I will definitely move my business elsewhere if they do not do what is morally correct.
