Beware of 1st for Women Insurance: They lie and ***** your money

1st for Women Insurance offered me an excellent premium and I decided to become their client. First lie: The consultant would call my previous insurance to cancel my policy. The consultant promised it even more than once, but it never happened. I obviously discovered it when there were two debit orders were collected from my bank account on the same day – from the old and new insurance companies. I immediately called First for Women to ask them what was going on and they didn't apologise but connected me to my old insurance company so that I had to deal with the issue myself. My old insurance company told me that nobody notified them about the cancellation. They were obviously sad that I decided to leave them and offered me an even better deal than First for Women, which I accepted. I called First for Women back and asked them to cancel my policy since I decided to stay with my old insurance because of their better deal and because First for Women didn't cancel my policy with them. After a big fight, I finally convinced them. It was still the beginning of the month and I had paid double for that month, so I asked them for a refund. Then they uttered their second lie: "Don’t worry, we’ll refund you." It’s now almost 5 months later. I have emailed them about the refund – no response. I have called them a few times and every time the consultant assured me they would call me back, which never happened. That’s the third lie, spoken multiple times: "We’ll call you back before [this time]." I’m glad I cancelled my policy with First for Women. I can just imagine how they would have tried to trick me further if I had decided to stay with them. So beware, 1st of Women are ****s and refuse to pay you back when they make a mistake. It’s a waste of time and money to deal with them!
