Bad service with worse experience ever

I was in an accident 10 August (raining around 6PM) , when pressing the panic button on my screen it was showing "assistance will call soon" after waiting a few minutes I decided to call myself. The guy assisting me tried his best, arranged towing and family run. A pedestrian ran into my car at driver side and went over the roof, I don’t know if this was a planned stunt as it happened at a hotspot. (nothing wrong with pedestrian) Gangsters came and wanted money and scared us with things they said. Law enforcement stayed with us till the tow arrived. We left the scene with tow vehicle who dropped us off. The Sunday morning, I only got a call to ask if I’m okay and if family run assisted. My concern is that I could have been alone, and I told agents who contacted me about what we went through, all I got someone will call me back, even when logging the claim. No one came back regarding this.

On logging the claim, a hired vehicle was arranged (12/08), on 16th August the morning the panel beater shop contacted me about my vehicle that they will be repairing, I had to tell them the vehicle got towed to Bellville, they thought vehicle is with me. Only later the day around 4 or 5pm I was contacted by the person assisting with my claim. I’ve even told him what I went through. I went to panel beaters on 16th and was told vehicle is booked in till the 31st. The panel beaters contacted me again to say that the vehicle will be finished around the first week in September, but there is some part that they are waiting on so I can collect vehicle, and they will notify me when to come back to fit the part. My question was isn’t the vehicle suppose to be completely repaired before I must collect it. I then contacted the insurance to assist (06/09) about this and to ask about the hired car. I then contacted the car hire myself to find out when my rental is finishing. On the 10th 14:15 the panel beaters called again to say I can collect my vehicle 14:30. I then told them I’m waiting on insurance to get back to me. The lady at panel beaters then contacted me again around 3pm to say they will be repairing the panel (plastic stitching) so my vehicle will be ready the next day if it will be okay with me. I then told her they must contact the assessor to authorize. I can’t decide on that and interfere with the assessor’s work. I’ve phoned the insurance again Monday as they told me the Friday someone will contact me Friday or the latest Monday. On Monday I was told they will call me before 10am Tuesday. I then called again 10;15am and was told someone will call before 5pm, I told the lady I’m at work and working till 4pm and the hired vehicle must be returned 14;30 so I need to speak this person before then. Every time I’m just getting someone will call me back… what’s the purpose of calling after I had to sort myself with a lift from car hire to place of collection and only being notified that my vehicle is done 14:35. The insurer was supposed to assist me on feedback after my call on the 6th and to tell me the hired car return date and time. I don’t know where the lady from panel beaters got it from, but she told me that my car hire was extended for later the afternoon, and car hire told me when dropping the vehicle there’s no changes made. Communication between 1st for Women staff and to their clients is pathetic. Things could have been dealt better and with empathy.
