Bad Service

I had a value added policy covering Scratch & Dent and Tyre & Rim - which I cancelled today. They tell you that the amount available is, R3000.00 per year for 2 tyres and excess payable would be the thread of the tyre. What they don't tell you is that the thread must be 8mm if you want the full amount. Now the thread on a brand new tyre is 8-9mm, which means that you would have to drive your new tyres over a lot of potholes (which I know is not hard to do in our country) or drive over anything that can cause a puncture and if you get a puncture - don't have it fixed and pay for it - make a claim immediately for them to replace. I asked them to send me a confirmation letter of cancellation, which they did however according to them I cancelled a funeral policy and when I pointed this out to them - it was another long story. Still waiting for the correct letter.
