Bad experience! No guardian Angel! Poor customer service and support
You know I have held back from November the 11th about writing this review, wanted to try sort it out with the insurer in house, but 1st for Women car insurance keeps on disappointing me and I think it's high time the larger community learns from my experience with this insurer. 11th November I was involved in a car accident and first thing you do is you call your insurer to let them know about what just happened! I did just that! Too bad for me I got in contact with one of the worst, not well informed consultant from First for women , I needed a guardian angel and he said to me those services are only available in Johannesburg ???! Really!!! Ohh by the way the accident happened in Mpumalanga between Verina and Delmas ! Come to think of it , I changed insurance because I was attracted by 1st for women saying they got Guardian angels everywhere just to keep you save , or change a tyre for you, but hey that's not true according to the consultant I spoke to on the day of the accident and that traumatized me further, because I was in an area where no cars were passing by, no houses , just me and the gravel road and the bush! It was a really traumatic experience!
So now finalizing the claim! The consultant now calls me to finalize my claim after a day or two and tells me that my car will be fixed by some panel beater in Grobblersdal, Limpopo province ???. I say what! The accident happened in mpumalanga and not Limpopo, why should my car be fixed there and not in mpumalanga, and besides the insurance knows very well that I reside full time in mpumalanga and they should bring my car closest to where I reside! That simple common sense! But noooo the consultant had to argue with me and somehow trying to force me to accept that my car be fixed at a panel beater in grobblersdal in Limpopo! I argued that I will not accept such! So they kept my car from the 11th November in Limpopo and after fighting that it be brought back to mpumalanga, the panel beater in mpumalanga only got it in their yard on the 23rd of November! My courtesy car I received it in the 13th of November and it's due on the 13th of December 2017. So i kept track of my car's status in my own because really the insurance is not updating me or try and speed up the process from their side, the panel beater said to me I Might get my car on the 15th December or the LATEST Monday 18th December! Now that means I will not have any form of transport because the courtesy car is due on the 13th December. I call the insurance giving them feedback from the panel beater, I tell them that it's not my fault that one of their consultant decided to take my car to Limpopo and argued with me when I told him that I live in mpumalanga and I am not gon have my car fixed in Limpopo where I won't even have an opportunity to have a look at the progress physically on site! So they delivered my car to car doctor in mpumalanga 10 days later! Whose fault is it that the courtesy car ends before the panel beater is done fixing my car? What I am asking for is that the insurance extends my car hire with the 10 days they wasted to bring my car to Mpumalanga or until Car doctor panel beater is done fixing my car, whichever comes first. But noooo the want to extend it with 2 days, saying I must bring the courtesy car back on 15th December at 8am ???. Sooo m not supposed to go to work me! In all this with 1st for women, they want all their Excess to be paid by me even after they did not give me the promised full service at the time of the accident when they told me guardian angels are only in Johannesburg ?! And now I have to also find my way around courtesy car because they don't want to help me out until my car is fixed!
