Accident Claim Bad Service
Following speaking to the complaints services and the customer service from First for Women, I am writing to lay a complaint against First for Women and their service. My car was involved in a major accident on 24/01/2023. My car was taken in for repairs using the service provider Renew It in Bedfordview. Phindile Masondo is the name of the lady that has been assigned by Renew It to give me updates regarding my car. I only received my car back on 01/04/2023.
I only drove my car for 2 weeks and returned it because of the sound it was making by the engine when it drove off and how the car was vibrating. I took the car back in on 14/04/2023. The service provider sent an approval request based on the additional repairs, but I had to call in on the 19th of April to find out the status only to hear that my insurance had not yet approved the request causing the delay. I called the insurance myself to find out the issues and Kekello Ramoralla said he sent an email and assured me that it will be approved by the end of business on the same day of 19/04/2023.
I called Phindile from Renew It to find out the status, and she confirmed that my insurance is sending an assessor (today to check if the damage was really caused by the car accident, and only then, they will provide some feedback with approval.
I stayed 3 months without having a car and now I am being compromised again because my insurance is not prioritizing my case. The whole back and forth makes it evident that my car was not signed off by my insurance/assessor. The other issue I have is regarding communication, I haven't received any communication from my insurance since I had my accident. First for women just assigned my car to panel beaters and that was it. All the other follow-ups and feedback I had to do myself. This is really not acceptable.
