A nightmare of note.
A nightmare story of the first order. I see many happy customers have written reviews here - probably all relatives of the owners. I have been with 1st for Women for 11 years, was initially most impressed with their efficient service, until of course, it wasn't. Spectacularly so. The accident I had (car went into me) causing about R38 000 damage, occurred on 24 MAY and now, SIXTY SIX DAYS LATER, we are still without a car! The problem seems to be that First for Women wont pay for genuine Toyota parts (a bumper) and insisted that the panel beaters return the bumper to Toyota and that they order a generic part - no doubt inferior in quality, from some other supplier. I do not know if it was being brought down by carrier ***eons but as of last week it had still not arrived. When it did (2 months after the accident) it was fitted and was sent for wheel alignment whereupon they found that the steering was damaged. Who was the assessor who examined the car in the first place? He should be fired. We are told that MAYBE we will get it back next week. Calls to the useless call centre just result in some employee mumbling "I'm so sorry" and that is the sum total of any feedback from them. This has been a 100% dreadful experience and people I talk to are amazed and say they have never experienced this before with their insurance claims. Clearly they were not with First for Women.
