80 percent price increase

I took out insurance last year at R550 comprehensive cover for my 2010 Kia cerato.I was very happy and confident with my insurance company.I happen to look at my bank statement a week back and discover that R960 was deducted from my account.I contacted First for women and was told they did a price review and that will now be my new premium.I had never claimed or altered my insurance so I was appalled at the massive increase of which I knew nothing of.The manager herself was shocked and confused about this increase.They couldn't really give me valid reasons claimed the area and cost of car parts. I live in a security village with access control,video surveillance and 24 hour security.I am deeply dissapointed in First for women as I had my trust in them forfeiting other insurance companies that approached me. I would love to continue with them but not at a ridiculous cost of almost a R1000 for car insurance only.
