1st for Women is very unprofessional
Good day, so I had been a client with 1st For Women since 2024 when I purchased my car. I got involved in a car accident this year and claiming with them was not easy at all. Upon taking up the cover I was told my access would be R18 300, to my suprise all that changed to R22 300 when I claimed. Also, there's no such amount on the document they sent me as a "summary of my contract" (this one shows R4 000, also on my app it shows an amount of R18 300. I asked for the recording of when I took up the insurance and till this day I haven't got it. Tried complaining through emails but no response. Worse of all, my car isn't even that damaged but they are telling me that their assessor's report is writting it off because it will cost them over 100K to fix. I'm extremely disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism, they took me from pillar to post when at once stage when I called them. To anyone who's trying to find an insurance home, think twice when it comes to the so called "best insurance for women". Also, they don't have a cash-back option, other insurance houses would have agreed to pay me back my premiums back from when I took up the insurance till atleast before the accident if I've opted to fix my car myself. They basically told me that there's no money they are willing to pay, unless it's that of the settlement for the car, which still is nothing because they insured my car under trade value.
